The Living/Dining Room

The Living/Dining Room is my favorite room in L'Auberge (see photos below for more detail on each section of the room). Lynn Groover from Miniatures from the Attic suggested the spiral staircase. I believe it "makes" the room.

The Living/Dining Room:

  • Has exposed beams on the ceiling, as do most buildings in Provence.

  • Has a "board and batten" look on the walls painted a light peach.

Dishes on the hutch in the Dining Room were made by pasting photos onto china plates.

Has a hutch featuring dishes I made by gluing photos of dishes from a catalog onto china plates.

Features a skirted table I made myself and chairs I "reupholstered."

Has a delicious breakfast on the table (by Mary McVicker—MCM Enterprises) ready for the guests.

Mary McVicker's food awaits guests in the Dining Room.
